March 14, 2022We are very pleased to announce that thanks, in no small part, to your support the future of Pilgrim Brewery at our current site is now safe. We have been in discussions with the new estate landlord and we have agreed to purchase the brewery site.It would have been very easy for the new landlord to have removed us and apply to convert the site to residential flats. This would have meant that a potential distraction from the permitted residential development at the front along West Street would have been removed. However seeing the level of support for the site, London Green (the new landlord) have worked with...

Many of you will already know about our longstanding relationship with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC), firstly at Headley Court and now at their state-of-the-art facility, Stanford Hall in Loughborough.
They are a volunteer led charity that provides funding to support serving military patients “Helping those who serve their country” being their tag line. They rely heavily on donations and fund-raising activities and this year a group of cyclists will be taking on “Peddle to the Principality”
On 1st April (a date that seems apt) Adrian will be joining the team from the DMRC to attempt the Peddle to the Principality challenge, a cycle from Loughborough to Monaco. This will be by far the hardest challenge he will have taken on and it will involve cycling a total distance of 1,500 kms with hill climbs totalling 14,000 meters, all in 9 days. Adrian has been training 5 to 6 days a week for the last few months and is feeling fit and strong enough for the challenge... -

Pilgrim Brewery first started brewing on 8th January 1982 and we couldn’t be prouder to be the oldest independently owned craft brewery in the Southeast, including London.
Throughout 2022 we are going to be celebrating this milestone with special offers and events. So please keep a close eye on our website and our social media pages to be kept up to date.
In the meantime, have you got any memories of Pilgrim Brewery over the last 40 years or any old images or photos? We would really love it if you could share these with us.

For centuries, Reigate Heath was a wild and lawless place, where smuggling and highway robbery were rife. The stark outline of the gallows on Galley Hill, served as a reminder to convicted felons that justice would be served. Some say that rum smuggling on the Heath continues to this day.
Within sight of the old hanging hill, sits our brewery, the oldest independently owned craft brewery in London and the Southeast. Taking inspiration from our location, we’ve blended our beer with rum at the distilling stage, to produce a unique gold spiced rum, delivering an authentic taste of local history and all the drama of Galley Hill.
Tasting Notes:Created using Progress Best Bitter and traditional molasses, this rum produces a vanilla, caramel aroma with a burnt chocolate after-note. The malts deliver a smoothness of character together with butterscotch and biscuit after-tones...

Making its debut at Pilgrim this week is ‘Plymouth Rock’, a New England Best Bitter.
New England IPAs have been incredibly popular in the last few years, enticing ‘hop heads’ with tremendous flavours of stone fruit and dank hops however, some NEIPAs do lack from what we love here at Pilgrim, malt flavour.
We have created what we think could be the first of its kind, all the hop flavour that you would expect from a New England style but with the malt backbone of a British bitter – something that is embedded in our heritage.
Maris Otter, Munich, Vienna and Crystal malts bring bags of flavour and a beautiful amber hue which compliment notes of mango, passionfruit and apricot from Azacca, Mosaic and Citra hops.
Available in keg and serving in the Taproom now...
