About The Hatch

After several years of searching, it was with great excitement that Pilgrim Brewery took over the running of the Hatch in mid 2022.

The Hatch is a lovely, intimate pub situated at Shaw’s Corner, and is a perfect venue for families and friends to get together. As part of our ethos, we will not stock mainstream beers or spirits instead we will seek out great local craft and artisan producers.  We have 5 cask lines ( serving Pilgrim and guest ales) and 12 keg lines (3 serving continental beers and the remaining 9 have Pilgrim and other local or craft beers).  All of our wines and spirits are sourced from local suppliers.

Hosted by our very own Rory Fry-Stone, the quiz consists of 2 picture rounds and 4 x general knowledge or themed questions.

While we were sad to see our great friends, Monte Forte, leave our kitchen, we are excited to take control and are thankful to Paolo for all his help setting us up.  We are also very pleased that the existing chefs Alex and Charlie have decided to come and work with us and provide some continuity.  Please take a look at our menus below and refer to our service times to the right of the page.

We aim to gradually introduce new ideas into the menu to provide great pub bar food made only with the best, fresh ingredients.
