Comedy Cottage RETURNING to The Taproom

The Award winning Comedy Cottage is returning to the Pilgrim Brewery Taproom for another great night of comedy entertainment. A big arena show on your own doorstep.

You can expect the same high quality diverse smorgasbord of comedy that the cottage shows are known and loved for. International stars of stage, screen and circuit legends alongside rising stars of the future! A night with a little something for everyone in the mix.

TOM WARD (@tomwardcomedian)

Tom is a multi-award winning comedian from London, who rose to prominence by winning the Chortle Best Newcomer Award. He is now a regular performer in the UK’s top comedy clubs and at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, where his shows have received critical acclaim.

His TV appearances include Live at The Apollo (BBC2), QI, (BBC), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), Live from The Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2).

He also fronted C4's 'Funraisers' - billed as 'a charity shop Taskmaster' where contestants compete in challenges based in and around a charity shop.

He has previously presented the LAD Bible series ‘In My Personal Space’, interviewing celebs such as Kyle Walker, Lady Leeshurr and Jamie Laing and 'No Instructions' with Jack Mate

He has supported Jack Whitehall, Joe Lycett, Sindhu Vee & Jason Manford. Tom will be touring his new show 'Choose your delusion' later this year.

Former Butlins Redcoat and proud Devonian Suzy Bennett ‘accidentally’ won an award on her 6th gig and has kept the laughs, and her accent, going strong ever since, performing around the UK as well as overseas.
She is the voice of the ‘PlymouthTrails’ Tour app and was recently named as one of the ‘50 Coolest people from Plymouth’ by the Evening Herald ( It was in no particular order so she assumes she came third after Dawn French and Wayne Sleep)

She has also hosted the Playtex Moonwalk twice in Hyde Park entertaining 17,000 people wearing a novelty bra!

NB: This year before she gets married, Suzy will be doing the moonwalk in Iceland for all the women in her life instead of an official Hen night. Please do sponsor her if you can as she loves doing the Cottage shows as much as we love having her. Whatever you can spare she would be grateful . ..

Jade is an American stand-up comedian, singer, writer, actor, journalist and Radio Personality. Estrada’s multi-faceted career spans work in theater, motion pictures, television, stand-up comedy, choreography and burlesque. Out Magazine christened him as 'the first gay Latin star'.

We feel very lucky to get Jade on his flying visit to the UK.

A Las Vegas headliner Jade Esteban Estrada aka The Prada Enchilada is a well-crafted and seasoned comedian who has performed all over the world. He started his career as choreographer to Latin diva Charo, a scratch vocalist to the Backstreet Boys, and was a popular recurring guest on The Jerry Springer Show. He has since headlined showrooms and colleges around the US and has performed at over 350 Pride events worldwide. He has graced the stages of The Second City, Laugh Factory Chicago, The Comedy Zone, and Oz New Orleans on Bourbon Street. Television credits Comedy Central (The Graham Norton Effect), Bravo, and an upcoming documentary Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration on Netflix.
