This weekend Reigate will be celebrating it's creativity with a full offer of fabulous free entertainment.

Comprising live music, drama, dance, film, literature, comedy, art and history. The festival will pull together the town's many creative and cultural groups in one big event in and around the town centre.

For more information and all the listings take a look at the event website here https://reigatesummerfestival.co.uk/

The Tunnel Stage will be the focal point of the festival with live music throughout.

However, we are really proud and excited to make our own musical contribution by hosting the Pilgrim Brewery Jazz and Smooth Sounds stage with a full offer of excellent acts from 12.15pm

12.15 – 3pm  Red’s Dreamers Jazz

Reigate-founded Red’s Dreamers Jazz trio bring us their blend of jazz classics from the Great American Songbook plus a jazz-style take on more contemporary songs and favourites across the decades.  Lorraine Gauntlett on vocals, Ade Webb on guitar and Simon Bull on Flute. Expect the great songs of artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Nat King Cole, Chet Baker – plus a few exciting twists and surprises!

3.30-4.20  Moodswing

Enjoy an eclectic mix of well-known tunes from Moodswing Quartet – including jazz and swing classics from the Twentieth Century, Latin and Gypsy Jazz Hot Club Repertoire. Moodswing’s warm melodic sound is provided by Ann on Violin, Peter and Chris on Guitars and Mike on Double bass, plus Mandolin, Clarinet , Flute and Sax for certain tunes.

4.30-5.30  Ed Rice - featuring David Guttierres

Reigate’s own Ed Rice is one of the UK’s most outstanding jazz piano artists, a regular on the London and West End circuit, working with many of the country’s leading jazz acts. Joining Ed today on vocals is David Guttierres. After being introduced to Frank Sinatra by his grandmother, it seemed only natural for David to sing swing. His background spans Jazz singing studies at Birmingham Conservatoire, to performing with big bands, including the Midlands Youth Jazz Orchestra at Chris Evans’s CarFest. Dave is delighted to be reunited with his long-time partner in crime, Ed Rice today. Expect some classy and exciting jazz from this quality duo.

As well as this specially curated event we are also hosting our regular favourites, Drop in Dj on Saturday from 7pm and then Open Mic returns on Sunday between 4.30pm and 7.30pm
