On Tuesday, 24th September custodianship of the much loved Reigate venue, The Cage was secured by Pilgrim Brewery.

The keys were handed over by the long term owner and manager, Adrian Buckland in an emotional but very happy exchange.

As the new owners we are very aware of the standing that this venue holds within the local community and that it is the first choice of many on a Friday or Saturday night out in town.

Much of this is because of the connection it has with local bands and performers and this is something that we definitley want to continue. We are also looking at other musical offers and how we can utilise the upstairs space even further.

We have of course added a couple of our own brews to the line up but it is definitely not going to become a Pilgrim only pub. Regular offers will stay in the line up.

We are of course heading into a slightly quieter part of the year but we are making plans for the run up to the festive period and will be sharing these as they come together.
