The long awaited and much anticipated Pilgrim Brewery renovation works will finally begin on Wednesday, 25th March 2026 and we are all extremely excited to finally “break ground” and for our plans to become a reality.
Whilst this will not affect the opening of the Taproom, it does have an effect on the amount of stock we can hold, especially as the current storeroom is where the works will begin.
If you are a regular visitor to our online shop, you will notice that there are currently no bottles or cans available for delivery. This won’t be the case for the duration of the build and stocks will be built up again very soon. If you prefer to come to the brewery to buy your beer, we do advise checking on the availability before you come.
We thank you all for your patience and continued support and we look forward to welcoming you all the brewery taproom as usual during the developments...

Last year we all enjoyed a few pints of a brand new brew, Weald, a session bitter at just 3.2% provided a great choice across several venues all throughout the Ale Trail.
Another thing making it a really enjoyable pint was the price and the great news is we've been able to keep the price under £4.00 a pint again this year!
Returning to the line-up next week at the Taproom and The Hatch.

The Pilgrim Brewery Ale Trail 2026
The Concept
First launched in 2018, the trail was devised to support those outlets that had supported us throughout the year. It was pretty much our top ten customers.
We really liked the idea of getting people to visit pubs that they may not usually and to drive footfall to each as we crept out of the winter and into the spring. Whilst many still prefer to take their time and spread the trail across the month many now set themselves the challenge of doing it their own way!
Times Change
The hospitality industry is such that nothing stands still and more so now than ever we are all looking for ways to encourage that footfall and keep people visiting their local pub and continuing to choose a Pilgrim pint. We take nothing for granted and whilst some of the original stops on the trail have disappeared new ones have been added and that desire to drive our customers to...

"It's not about standing still and becoming safe. If anybody wants to keep creating, they have to be about change" Miles Davis.
This week marked one year since Pilgrim Brewery took over the management of The Cage so, we have taken a look back and we’d like to share with you what we have learnt and what we have planned.
When considering acquiring The Cage we knew that we would become custodians of one of Reigate's premier venues and, that we would have to take real care to retain as much as possible about what everyone recognised as being "The Cage" if it was to work. However, whilst everyone thinks of music when they think of The Cage it became quite clear that music alone could not sustain its future.
Of course, being a brewery primarily, we have added a selection of our own brews to the line-up along with some others that are less familiar but are also proving to be extremely popular. We have taken time to curate and perfect the selection of wines...
